Fernando Cavaleiro Ângelo nasceu em Cabo Verde em janeiro de 1970 e desempenhou, durante mais de quinze anos, diversas funções nas informações militares Além de diversos cursos nas áreas das informações e do terrorismo frequentados em alguns serviços de informações militares aliados e na NATO, tem um mestrado em Intelligence and Security Studies pela Universidade de Salford, no Reino Unido. É autor dos livros Os Flechas – A Tropa Secreta da PIDE/DGS na Guerra de Angola e Os Falcões do Biafra – O Envolvimento Secreto de Portugal na Guerra Civil da Nigéria.
