Professora de História Antiga na Universidade de Cardiff, a Dr.ª Eve MacDonald é a arqueóloga e historiadora da Antiguidade que mais tem investigado e publicado estudos sobre a história e a cultura material de Cartago, da África do Norte e do Médio Oriente. É especialista sobre aquelas regiões e autora de Hannibal: A Hellenistic Life (Yale University Press, 2015). Participa regularmente em podcasts (History Hit: The Ancients, Hannibal’s Winter War, The Fall of Carthage) e em documentários (no Channel 4 e na série Secrets of the Dead da PBS – Public Broadcasting Service). Cartago é o seu primeiro livro comercial.
