Eugénio de Andrea da Cunha e Freitas

Nasceu em Lisboa em 1912. Licenciou-se em Direito na capital e em 1935 foi nomeado Administrador no concelho de Sesimbra. Posteriormente, ocupou o lugar de Secretário da Câmara dos Administradores de Falências do Porto, onde permaneceu até à sua reforma, em 1982. Pertenceu a diversas instituições culturais, como a Academia Portuguesa de História (onde foi Académico de Mérito a partir de 1992) e Associação Cultural dos Amigos do Porto, entre outras. Ao longo de sessenta anos de investigação, redigiu cerca de quatrocentos trabalhos, muitos deles sobre o Porto. "Notícias do Velho Porto" reúne alguns textos sobre esta cidade. Faleceu em Vila do Conde em 2000.
