Esi Edugyan
Esi Edugyan is a Canadian writer, the daughter of Ghanaian immigrants. She graduated from the University of Victoria and Johns Hopkins University, and holds a master's degree in Creative Writing. Her work has been published in several anthologies, including Best New American Voices 2003, edited by Joyce Carol Oates. Her first novel, written when she was only 25 years old, The Second Life of Samuel TyneIt has been published in several countries. A Mixed Blues He was a finalist for the 2011 Man Booker Prize and winner of the 2011 Giller Prize.
