Erika Fatland é uma antropóloga e escritora norueguesa. Os seus livros foram traduzidos para mais de 20 línguas e publicados em 26 países. Deles, destacam-se os relatos de viagem que receberam o Prémio Kapuscinski de Reportagem Internacional, em 2021: Sovjetistan (Sovietistão), que retrata a jornada por cinco antigas nações soviéticas da Ásia Central, e Grensen (A Fronteira), a descrição de uma viagem pelas fronteiras da Rússia, desde a Coreia do Norte até à Noruega.
