Erik Varden

Erik Varden (n. 1974) é monge trapista e bispo norueguês.
Antes de entrar na Abadia de Mount Saint Bernard, Leicestershire (Inglaterra), onde viria a ser abade, foi membro do Saint John’s College, em Cambridge.
Publicou várias traduções e monografias académicas e é autor, além de Romper a Solidão, de Entering the Twofold Mystery: On Christian Conversion (2022) e de Chastity: Reconciliation of the Senses (2023). É muito solicitado como pregador, diretor espiritual e conferencista.
Em 2019, o Papa Francisco nomeou-o bispo de Trondheim (Noruega).
