Há escasso material biográfico sobre Enid Lamonte Meadowcroft, embora os seus muitos livros sejam carinhosamente recordados pelos seus leitores. Sabemos que nasceu em 1898, nos Estados Unidos da América e faleceu em 1966. Parece ter sido editora na Grosset & Dunlap, trabalhando na sua linha de romances históricos para jovens leitores.
