Emma Chichester Clark estudou na Royal College of Art. Trabalhou como ilustradora freelance para revistas, editoras e agências de publicidade, além de se ter dedicado ao ensino artístico durante vários anos, mas atualmente os livros infantis ocupam a maioria do seu tempo. Vive e trabalha em Londres. É ilustradora de inúmeros clássicos da literatura infantil, nomeadamente os referentes aos adorados Kangaroo muitos dos mais aclamados escritores dos nossos dias, como por exemplo Quentin Blake.
