Elsa Dorlin
French researcher of the relationships between violence, gender, and race, Elsa Dorlin (b. 1974) teaches Political and Contemporary Philosophy at the University of Toulouse — Jean Jaurès. She holds a doctorate from the Sorbonne University and received the CNRS bronze medal in 2009 for her work in the field of feminist epistemology. Among other publications, she has worked on... La matrice de la race (2006) and Sex, gender and sexualities (2008), in addition to organizing the anthology of texts by African-American feminists Black Feminism (2008). For his book Self-Defense: A Philosophy of ViolenceHe was awarded the prize. Frantz Fanon (2018) and the Prix de l’Écrit Social (2019).
