Ellen Lupton é designer gráfica, diretora do Mestrado em Design Gráfico do Maryland Institute of Art (MICA), curadora de Design Contemporâneo do Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum e diretora do Center for Design Thinking de Baltimore. Também é autora de diversos livros sobre design, entre eles: Intuição, criação, ação: Graphic Design Thinking, Pensar com tipos, Tipos na tela, Novos fundamentos do design e ABC da Bauhaus, todos publicados pela Editora Gustavo Gili.
