Elizabeth Reis licenciou-se em Economia pela Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Porto em 1979. Em 1984 concluiu a Pós-graduação em Social Statistics na Universidade de Southampton e, em 1987, o Ph.D. na mesma área científica. É doutora em Métodos Quantitativos para Gestão pela Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, tendo obtido a Agregação em Métodos Quantitativos pelo ISCTE-IUL em 1999, instituição onde lecionou e coordenou unidades curriculares de Estatística, Análise de Dados, Métodos de Recolha de Informação, Pesquisa de Mercados e Metodologias de Investigação em cursos de Licenciatura, Mestrado e Doutoramento, nos diversos domínios da Gestão Empresarial e das Ciências Sociais. É atualmente Professora Catedrática e Vice-Reitora do ISCTE.
