Elisabete Rodrigues nasceu em Bragança, passou por Braga, Brasil, mas escolheu Lisboa para viver.

É autora do blogue "Super Mulher ou Algo do Género" e tem colaborado com o Público Life&Style e a plataforma Maria Capaz. Doutorou-se em sociologia no ISCTE-IUL, tendo dedicado a tese à análise das masculinidades. É esse estudo que está na origem deste livro.
