Eli Sharabi

Eli Sharabi nasceu em Telavive-Yafo, numa família de ascendência judaica iemenita e marroquina. Aos 14 anos, ele e o irmão Yossi mudaram-se para o kibutz Be'eri como jovens residentes. Exerceu diversos cargos de gestão, incluindo tesoureiro e coordenador económico.
Em abril de 1995, conheceu Lian Brisley, uma voluntária britânica de 20 anos no kibutz. Casaram-se em julho de 2000 numa cerimónia modesta em Bristol e tiveram duas filhas: Noya e Yahel.
No ataque surpresa de 7 de outubro de 2023, foi sequestrado durante o massacre de Be'eri por militantes do Hamas.
Em 8 de fevereiro de 2025, foi libertado como parte do Acordo de cessar-fogo Hamas/Israel de 2025, após 491 dias em cativeiro.
