Eduardo Viveiros de Castro

Teórico do «perspetivismo ameríndio», Eduardo Viveiros de Castro (n. 1951) é um dos mais influentes antropólogos da atualidade. Professor de Etnologia no Museu Nacional (UFRJ), doutorou-se, em 1984, com uma tese sobre a cosmologia dos Araweté, povo tupi-guarani do Norte do Brasil, com os quais viveu cerca de um ano. Premiado pelos seus trabalhos, lecionou nas universidades de São Paulo, Chicago, Paris X e na École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. Na sua obra, destacam-se A Inconstância da Alma Selvagem (2002) e Metafísicas Canibais (2009).
