PRÉMIO CERVANTES 2016

Eduardo Mendoza nasceu em Barcelona, em 1943. Autor de uma vasta obra, iniciada em 1975 com A verdade sobre o caso Savolta (que imediatamente obteve o Prémio da Crítica e se transformou numa obra «fundadora» da nova literatura espanhola), é hoje um dos vultos cimeiros do panorama literário europeu. Os seus livros foram repetidamente galardoados, quer em Espanha quer noutros países, e têm sido frequentemente adaptados ao cinema. Em 2016, venceu o Prémio Cervantes, o mais importante galardão da literatura de língua castelhana.
