Edith Nesbit

Edith Nesbit (1858-1924) was an English writer and poet who published children's stories under the pseudonym E. Nesbit. He has written and collaborated on more than 60 children's fiction books, many of them adapted for film and television. She is the founder of the children's genre about adventures that, despite taking place in the world as we know it, have magical elements, being the great source of inspiration for Harry Potter, by J. K. Rowling, who confesses to being her favorite writer. She was also an activist and co-founder of the Fabian Society, the model for the Labour Party.
