Edgar Cabanas, nascido em Madrid em 1985, é doutorado em Psicologia pela Universidade Autónoma de Madrid. Especialista em psicologia básica, psicologia social e das emoções, e história da psicologia, é professor na Universidade Camilo José Cela, em Madrid, e investigador associado no Max Planck Institute for Human Development, em Berlim. É também investigador em numerosos projetos internacionais e coorganizador da rede académica internacional «Popular Psychology, Self-Help Culture and the Happiness Industry».
