A Drª Ana Catarina Magalhães nasceu em Faro e é formada em Medicina Dentária pela Faculdade de Medicina Dentária da Universidade de Lisboa e Mestre em Cirurgia Ortognática e Ortodontia pela Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto. Dedica o seu tempo à prática de Ortodontia e Odontopediatria, tendo já dado consulta de Norte a Sul de Portugal e em Luanda. Procura desmistificar e divulgar a experiência da primeira consulta no médico dentista. Concebeu este livro, que a Bertrand Editora acolheu, para fazer chegar, de uma forma mais ampla e com mais imediatismo, a mensagem ao público-alvo.
