Dora Martins possui PhD em Ciências Empresariais - Organização e Recursos Humanos (Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Porto). É professora adjunta no Instituto Politécnico do Porto (ISCAP e ESHT), onde leciona no domínio da gestão e desenvolvimento de recursos humanos. É diretora do Mestrado em Gestão e Desenvolvimento de Recursos Humanos (ISCAP). Colabora com a Porto Business School (PBS) e com o Instituto Politécnico de Gestão e Tecnologia (ISLA). É membro integrado dos Centros de Investigação CEOS (Politécnico do Porto) e GOVCOPP (Universidade de Aveiro). É autora de mais de 40 publicações científicas no âmbito da gestão de expatriados e práticas de gestão de talento.
