Donato Carrisi nasceu em 1973 em Martina Franca (Itália). Licenciado em Direito, especializou-se em Criminologia e Ciências do Comportamento. Dedica-se, desde 1999, à carreira de argumentista de cinema e televisão, e escreve regularmente no Corriere della Sera. A Hipótese do Malé o seu terceiro livro, depois do enorme sucesso de Sopro do Male O Tribunal das Almas, já publicados pela Porto Editora.
