Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida é autora de vários livros, entre os quais Luanda, Lisboa, Paraíso, As Telefones, Três Histórias de Esquecimento, Ferry e Toda a Ferida É Uma Beleza, vencedor do Grande Prémio de Romance e Novela APE/DGLAB 2024. Os seus livros e ensaios receberam vários prémios, incluindo o Prémio Oceanos, e estão traduzidos em dez línguas. Em 2023, Djaimilia recebeu o Prémio FLUL Alumni, atribuído pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, onde se doutorou. Em 2025, recebeu o Prémio Vergílio Ferreira, atribuído pela Universidade de Évora, pelo conjunto da sua obra literária. Ensinou na New York University. Escreve na Quatro Cinco Um e no Observador. Nasceu em Luanda.
