Diogo Pires Aurélio

Diogo Pires Aurélio, doutor em Filosofia Moral e Política, é professor jubilado da Universidade Nova de Lisboa e membro integrado do Instituto de Filosofia da Universidade do Porto.
Autor de uma vasta obra e de traduções premiadas de vários textos clássicos, publicadas em Portugal e no Brasil, tais como, por exemplo, o Tratado Teológico-Político e o Tratado Político, de Espinosa, ou o Príncipe, de Maquiavel, entre os seus trabalhos mais recentes contam-se: Soberania Popular (V.N. Famalicão, Húmus, 2024), Ética, de Espinosa, edição bilingue, tradução, introdução e notas (São Paulo, Editora 34, 2025). Com André Santos Campos, editou Machiavelli’s Dicourses on Livy. New Readings (Leiden, Brill, 2022). É membro do Conselho Científico do Sive Natura, International Center for Spinozan Studies, Università di Bologna.
