Dennis Cooper
Dennis Cooper began writing poems and short stories at a very young age, but only at the age of 15 did he seriously dedicate himself to writing, after reading Rimbaud and Sade. In 1976 he founded Little Caesar Magazine and Press, which he ran until 1982. From 1983 to 1985 he was director of the Beyond Baroque literary and artistic center in California.
In 1985 he went to Amsterdam, where he lived for two years. It was there that he began his most ambitious literary project, the George Miles cycle, a series of five interconnected novels. His nine novels and the various anthologies he organized earned him great critical acclaim.
