Deborah Marcero é uma autora e ilustradora americana, cujo trabalho tem sido aclamado pela crítica. Cresceu na região rural de Michigan, onde, desde muito jovem, ocupa os seus dias entre o desenho, a escrita e a leitura. Depois de ensinar nas escolas públicas de Chicago como especialista em alfabetização, Deborah percebeu que escrever e criar livros para crianças era o seu objetivo de vida.
