Deborah Heneghan é especialista em comunicação após a morte, tendo fundado a Closer Than you Think, uma organização vocacionada para o diálogo com espíritos e gestão da dor e da perda. Conversa todos os dias com a sua irmã Kathy, falecida há mais de 25 anos, tinha a autora apenas 15 anos (a irmã faleceu aos 17 anos vítima de leucemia). Deborah partilha a sua experiência em seminários e palestras, na realização de retiros e workshops, e no seu próprio programa de rádio semanal. É convidada regular das televisões Lifetime, ABC, CBS, NBC e Fox.
