David R. Hawkins

David R. Hawkins [1927-2012] was an internationally recognized teacher, author, and lecturer who devoted himself to the topic of advanced spiritual states, the investigation of consciousness, and the realization of the Presence of God as I.
He practiced psychiatry and was a life member of the American Psychiatric Association, as well as many other organizations. Her television appearances include The Barbara Walters Show and The Today Show. He was also interviewed by Oprah Winfrey.
He has published numerous books, CDs, DVDs and series of conferences on scientific and spiritual topics. He co-edited, together with Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling, the reference book Orthomolecular Psychiatry.
He was also a consultant to the governments of several countries on matters of international diplomacy and was instrumental in resolving long-standing conflicts that constituted major threats to world peace.
In recognition of his contributions to humanity, in 1995, he was knighted by the Sovereign Order of the Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem, founded in 1077.
