Lecionou Psiquiatria na Escola de Medicina da Universidade Johns Hopkins e foi Professor Associado de Psicologia no Antioch College. É coautor de vários livros de sucesso, incluindo The Energies of Love, bestseller do New York Times, escrito com Donna Eden.
