David E. Hoffman é editor contribuinte do Washington Post e membro do conselho editorial, jornal ao qual se juntou em 1982 para fazer a cobertura das notícias sobre a Casa Branca. Ao regressar a Washington em 2001, foi editor internacional e editor-gerente adjunto para notícias internacionais. Trabalhou como correspondente para os documentários Hunting the Nightmare Bacteria (2013), The Trouble with Antibiotics (2014) e The Trouble with Chicken (2015) e como repórter para Putin's Revenge (2017).
