Cristovão Tezza
Cristovão Tezza was born in Lages, Santa Catarina, in 1952, but moved to Curitiba as a child. He is considered one of the most important authors in contemporary Brazilian literature. In addition to being a writer, with more than a dozen published books, he teaches at the Federal University of Paraná.
He is the author of, among others, Trapo, O fantasma da infância, Aventuras provisórias, Breve espaço entre cor e sombra (Machado de Assis/Biblioteca Nacional Prize for best novel of 1998) and O fotógrafo (prizes from the Brazilian Academy of Letters and Bravo! for best novel of the year).
