Cory Taylor

Cory Taylor nasceu em 1955 em Queensland, Austrália. Estudou História na Universidade Nacional da Austrália e trabalhou posteriormente como guionista durante quase toda a sua vida.

Diagnosticada com um melanoma em 2005, decidiu então investir na carreira literária, tendo editado dois romances, "Me and Mr. Booker" (2011) que ganhou o Commonwealth Book Prize da região do Pacífico e "My Beautiful Enemy" (2013) que foi nomeado para o prestigiado Miles Franklin Award.

Com a sua saúde a deteriorar-se, iniciou a escrita deste "A Morrer" que veio a publicar em 2016, pouco antes da sua morte a 5 de julho, devido ao citado melanoma. "A Morrer" foi nomeado para o Stella Prize.
