Corrado Mastantuono inicia a sua carreira na banda desenhada na Disney italiana em 1989, onde irá criar a personagem Bum Bum Ghigno (Bombom Sorriso, na versão brasileira em língua portuguesa) e ganhar o Topolino d’Oro em 1996. Em 1992 inicia a sua colaboração com a Sergio Bonelli Editore, que o lança em Nick Raider, passa para Magico Vento, e estreia-se em Tex em 2007, passando posteriormente a fazer parte da equipa de desenhadores da série.
