Confúcio
Confucius (551-479 BC) came from a noble family, but grew up far from privilege. He believed that politics should be guided, above all, by morality. He traveled for ten years through the various states of China to convince the rulers to adopt his principles. When he realized that his ideas would not find a place among the feudal lords, he returned to Lu, his homeland, and spent the rest of his life dedicated to what he did best: teaching.
