Concha (Martínez) Pasamar é formada em História e doutora em Linguística Hispânica. Combina o seu trabalho como professora de Espanhol com a ilustração e a escrita. Entre outros reconhecimentos, os seus álbuns When Mom Was Wearing Braids e Time of Autumn ganharam o Prémio Fundação Cuatrogatos, prémio que também foi recebido por Romances de la Rata Wise, com texto de Paloma Díaz-Mas.
