Colum McCann

Colum McCann is the author of 7 novels and 3 anthologies of short stories. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, he has been awarded several distinctions, including the National Book Prize and the International Impact Award in DublinDistinguished as Chevalier des Arts et Lettres by the French government and elected to the Irish Academy of Arts, received various European awards, the 2010 Best Foreign Novel Award, in China, and an Oscar nomination. In 2017, he was elected to the American Academy of ArtsHis work has been published in more than 40 languages. He is a co-founder of the global, non-profit story exchange organization, the Narrative 4, and is a professor at Hunter College MFA Creative Writing ProgramShe lives in New York with her family.
