Cláudia Araújo Teixeira nasceu no Porto, tem três filhos e um cão com necessidades educativas especiais que a adotou e não o contrário. Estudou Direito, chegou a pensar em ser advogada, influenciada pela série "Teias da Lei", contudo, depressa percebeu que os tribunais, para si, fariam parte apenas da ficção. Acabou por se licenciar em Ciências da Comunicação. Fez carreira, sobretudo, na área editorial. Trabalhou com muitos escritores que admira, como Paul Auster e Arturo Pérez-Reverte, sem nunca se imaginar tornar-se um. Estreia-se neste papel com "Uma Vida Assim-Assim", o seu primeiro romance.
