Chuck Palahniuk

Chuck Palahniuk emerged in the late 1990s as one of the most original voices in modern American fiction, a disillusioned portraitist of the new anti-heroes. His book Fight Club (Edited by Notícias) proved that a whole tradition of dark humor and cruel writing, inherited from authors like Kurt Vonnegut or Don DeLillo, was alive. After its film adaptation, directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, it solidified Palahniuk's cult following. Other titles followed, such as... Non-Fiction, Choke-Asphyxia, Lullaby and SurvivorThe last three books were also published by Casa das Letras. Of French and Russian descent, Chuck Palahniuk was born in Pasco, Washington, on February 21, 1962. He currently lives in Portland, Oregon, in the United States.
