Christelle Dabos nasceu em 1980 na Riviera Francesa. Cresceu em Cannes, no seio de uma família de músicos e rodeada das maravilhas da História, e foi bibliotecária antes de se tornar escritora. Sempre mais imaginativa do que racional, redigiu os seus primeiros textos ainda nos bancos da faculdade. A escrita viria a ajudá-la a ultrapassar um longo período de doença e uma recuperação bem lenta. A comunidade de escritores online Plume D'Argent viria a dar-lhe o incentivo de que precisava para, em 2012, integrar o concurso "Primeiro Romance", organizado por Gallimard Jeunesse, RTL e Télérama, tendo sido uma das três vencedoras.
