Charles Palliser

Charles Palliser publicou cinco obras de ficção, incluindo os romances históricos The Quincunx (1989) e The Unburied (1999). O seu último romance é Rustication (novembro de 2013). Toma a forma do diário de um escritor de 17 anos na década de 1860: a sua família perdeu tudo de repente e ele junta-se a eles numa vila remota e hostil na costa sul. Logo após sua chegada, coisas sinistras começam a acontecer no distrito que culminam num assassinato.
Charles Palliser escreveu peças para o rádio da BBC e para o palco. Antes de se tornar escritor em período integral, em 1990, ensinou literatura e escrita criativa em universidades do Reino Unido e dos EUA. A sua ficção foi traduzida para uma dúzia de idiomas. O Quincunx recebeu o Prémio Sue Kaufman pela Academia Americana e Instituto de Artes e Letras.
Com cidadania irlandesa e americana, viveu principalmente no Reino Unido e agora está baseado em Londres.
