Chabouté

Christophe Chabouté nasceu na Alsácia em 1967, vive atualmente na ilha de Oléron. Publicou as suas primeiras ilustrações em 1993, Récits, um álbum coletivo sobre Arthur Rimbaud. A sua cor preferida é o preto e branco. Deixa ao leitor a liberdade de acrescentar a sua própria cor. O preto e branco é simplesmente o seu modo de expressão. Na sua cabeça, está escrito que as histórias que conta são a preto e branco para se libertar de constrangimentos estéticos e narrativos. Só utiliza a cor se esta acrescentar significado à história. Trabalha com sinceridade e emoção pura, com uma economia de meios. O Festival de Angoulême reconheceu-o quando lhe atribuiu um Alph-Art Coup de Coeur.
