Cassandra Calin é uma cartoonista e humorista mais conhecida pela sua série de webcomics semiautobiográfica, Cassandra Comics, na qual fala da sua vida com cabelo encaracolado, grandes expetativas e outros problemas diários.
Originária da Roménia, Cassandra imigrou para o Canadá quando era criança e mais tarde obteve o seu bacharelato em design gráfico na Université du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM).
A Miúda Nova foi a sua estreia na banda desenhada e um sucesso internacional, chegando à lista dos mais vendidos do New York Times.
