Carsten Henn nasceu em 1973, em Colónia, na Alemanha. Atualmente vive na Renânia, com a esposa, os dois filhos e os dois gatos. Henn é escritor, jornalista especializado em crítica gastronómica e enologia, bem como editor-chefe da revista alemã Vinum. Autor de inúmeros romances policiais e comédias românticas de sucesso, tornou-se escritor bestseller com o romance O Homem Que Passeava Livros (Lua de Papel, 2022), que esteve mais de dois anos na lista de bestsellers da SPIEGEL. A Máquina de Escrever Dourada é o seu primeiro livro infantojuvenil.
