Carolina Rodrigues nasceu a 29 de abril de 1995 em Lisboa, onde sempre cresceu e viveu. Ingressou na Licenciatura de Relações Internacionais no ISCSP, da Universidade de Lisboa. A paixão de Carolina Rodrigues pelo fantástico e pela ficção foi ao longo da sua juventude acompanhada por nomes como J. K. Rowling, Stephanie Meyer, Christopher Paolini e Rick Riordan que foram bases de inspiração para escrever. A Sombra da Água: Metamorfose é o primeiro volume da trilogia e primeira obra da sua autoria.
