Carlos Almeida Pereira é Investigador Integrado no Instituto de Filosofia da Universidade do Porto, é licenciado em Filosofia, pós-graduado em Bioética com especialização em Antropologia e Saúde, pós-graduado em Neurociências, e doutorado summa cum laudeem Bioética. Tem realizado e divulgado diversos estudos sobre Ética, Bioética e Filosofia das Ciências, integrados num campo mais amplo de investigação em «Bioética, Ciência e Sociedade».
