Carlo Ginzburg
Carlo Ginzburg (Turin, 1939) is an Italian historian, anthropologist, and professor who stands out as one of the pioneers in the study of microhistory. He was a professor at the University of Bologna, the Warburg Institute (London), and the American universities of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and California, where he was responsible for the discipline of Italian Renaissance History for two decades. Currently, he is a professor at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. His most recognized book, The Cheese and the WormsHis work has been translated into dozens of languages. He is the author of a vast body of work, which also includes notable titles.
