C. Drew Edwards exerceu psicologia clínica pediátrica durante 25 anos e acompanhou duas filhas até à idade adulta. Especializou-se no trabalho com pais de crianças difíceis e de crianças com DDA/DDAH (Desordem por Défice de Atenção/Hiperactividade). É presidente do KidPsych Child Behavior and Family Life Center e Professor Associado Auxiliar de Psicologia na Wake Forest University.
