Benoît Mandelbrot

Benoît Mandelbrot is Sterling Professor Emeritus of Mathematical Sciences, Yale University, and an IBM Emeritus Fellow at the IBM Research Center. His work has earned him numerous awards and medals. He is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Philosophical Society, and, as a Foreign Member, the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. He is the author of numerous books, including Fractal Objects, published by Gradiva.
