Benoît Durieux

Tenente-general, é presidente da Academia de Defesa da École Militaire, diretor do Institut des Hautes Études de Défense Nationale (IHEDN) e diretor do Ensino Militar Superior. Formado pela Escola Militar de Saint-Cyr, é diplomado pelo Instituto de Estudos Políticos de Paris e pela Universidade de Georgetown, nos Estados Unidos. Após atuar no Estado-Maior das Forças Armadas, prosseguiu a sua trajetória operacional como comandante do 2.º Regimento Estrangeiro de Infantaria, em Nimes, entre 2008 e 2010.
Publicou várias obras sobre questões estratégicas, entre as quais La Guerre par ceux qui la font e Dictionnaire de la guerre et de la paix.
