Benjamín Labatut

Benjamín Labatut was born in Rotterdam in 1980. He grew up in The Hague and Buenos Aires, and at the age of twelve, moved to Santiago, Chile. His first book, a collection of short stories entitled Antarctica starts here, received the Award House of Letters, in 2009, by National Autonomous University of Mexico, and, in 2012, the Santiago Municipal Literature Prize. A Terrible Green, published in 2020 and translated into more than thirty languages, was a finalist for International Booker Prize and of National Book PrizeIn 2021, this established Labatut as one of the most relevant authors of our time.
