Licenciada em Jornalismo, professora e escritora. Lecciona Língua e Literatura num instituto de Badajoz e participa - com a Universidade da Extremadura - em actividades de animação à leitura. Recebeu o Prémio Joaquín Sama de Inovação Educativa (2004) da Junta da Extremadura, o Prémio Nacional Giner de los Ríos para a Melhoria da Qualidade Educativa (2005) e o Prémio Lazarillo de Criação Literária (2006) por "Cuentos como pulgas". Colabora com diversas publicações especializadas em literatura.
