Nascida em Lisboa e formada em Comunicação Empresarial pelo ISCEM, Bárbara Norton de Matos acabou por se dedicar desde muito cedo à carreira de actriz, quase sempre em televisão e com aparições esporádicas em teatro. Estreou-se nas telenovelas em 2001, ao representar a personagem de Mónica em Nunca Digas Adeus. Desde então nunca deixou de actuar nas principais produções da TVI, entre as quais Amanhecer, Baía das Mulheres, Deixa-me Amar e Sentimentos.
A autora, que desde criança criou o hábito de manter uma série de diários, estreia-se agora em literatura com Escrito nas Estrelas.
